About The Event
The Saturday morning Family Fun session in Hastings Library is one of the most popular events in the Festival, allowing younger readers and their parents to meet top writers with a strong local connection, hear them tell some of their stories and get involved in drawings and creative activities that bring out the writer and artist in all of us.

Hastings Book Festival favourite Patrice Lawrence is an award-winning, Sussex born writer for children and young people. Her books include the Elemental Detectives series, set in an C18th magical London, and picture books included Is that your Mama? and Our Story Starts in Africa.
