About The Event

‘An enchanting romance—funny, touching and inspiring’ — Stephen Fry

Nathan Evans’ debut novella, One Last Song, is an uproarious and uplifting romantic comedy about grey liberation.

The story revolves around two gentlemen, Joan and Jim, living in a care home and pushing each other’s buttons daily. A battle begins, but beneath all the antics and the posturing, what are they both hiding and do they have more in common than first expected?

‘A warm, joyful and ingenious tale of gay love from the UK’s Armistead Maupin’

— Joelle Taylor

Nathan will be in conversation with Wayne Berkeley Herbert, Hastings Book Festival Director
